What is “natural sparkle”?

During the fermentation process, the yeasts in the wine release gases such as CO₂, which mix with the must. In this way, small bubbles appear in the wines and are preserved thanks to the second fermentation in isobaric pressure tanks at low temperature. These wines have a natural sparkle (without additives) and are known as frizzantes (which in Italian means sparkling).
